The deadline for the £10,000 Times/Chicken House Children’s Fiction Competition has been extended until 14 May.
The winner of the competition for completed manuscripts by unpublished, unagented children’s writers will receive a publishing contract with an advance of £10,000 and the offer of representation by a literary agent.
This year there is an additional prize, the IET 150 Award, sponsored by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, for the best book for children or young adults that explores or celebrates science, technology, engineering or maths. The winner will receive a publishing contract with a £10,000 advance, and an offer of representation.
