GOT A PROBLEM? DR RANJ SINGH AND WAYNE DHESI ARE HERE TO OFFER THEIR ADVICE...
Ranj
Dear Attitude,
I think my dad is gay. I’m gay myself and have been out to my family for a few years already. I moved out of home at 17, not because of my homosexuality – although it was a big part of it – but more because my parents are just so religious (Church of England) and we were always arguing. As such I didn’t have much of a relationship with my parents for a long time. We kept in touch, but we were never particularly close. I landed on my feet, got a good job and even bought my own flat. Mum passed away three years ago, and I made an effort to get closer to my dad, mostly because I don’t want to lose touch with my sister, who is 16. Last week, while dad was away for the weekend, my sister came across several gay websites in the search history on his computer; hook-up sites like Gaydar and Manhunt, as well as some porn. At first we thought maybe he was just trying to understand my lifestyle, but while he wasn’t logged into any of the cruise sites, the log in email was our dad’s so it looks like he’s used them before. We’re a bit shocked to say the least, but we also want to help him. What should we do?
