Q Many of my partners say my penis is too large and it’s painful having sex, but I only want to top. What do I do?
Duncan, Salford
A Well, first of all, lucky you. Men often have a problem with having penises that are too small, but it is often forgotten that being too large can be just as much of a problem. The important thing here is position when it comes to having sex. There are many different positions to try out which will either increase or decrease the extent of the penetration and, therefore, the level of discomfort. People with this problem usually find it easier if your partners are on top as they have better control over the situation and can go at their own pace. It’s important to warm up before diving straight into anal sex, too. Foreplay can help your partner prepare for penetration and make it more comfortable and enjoyable for him. Other than positions, you should remember to use plenty of lubrication, listen to your partner and take things slowly.
