The Douglas Hotel has been given planning permission to complete the new area of decking at the front of the hotel in Brodick.
Premission was given, in part retrospectively, as work on the decking started last year as it was orginally planned as a seating area for the short-lived Douglas Deli.
It will now be used as an extension to the popular hotel terrace. A design statement, which accompanied the application, said: ‘Although the proposed terrace extension is not expansive it will provide additional outdoor space for the public and hotel users, along with additional refuse amenities.
