Sir,
For the first time in my long life, my car broke down a half-mile south of the Brodick ferry terminal on Sunday September 2, about 10 o’clock. I got immediate help from a young lady (Lorna) and her husband in phoning the AA and police. I was crestfallen and badly in need of help.
The police car, driven by Colin, arrived on the scene quickly, followed by Angus Lambie with his breakdown lorry. The old Octavia was winched on to the lorry. Colin drove me back to my good friends to Kings Cross with my luggage and even rescued my reading glasses later from the car at Lambie’s.
