With the arrival of March I always start to look forward to Spring and all the vibrant growth nature shows us, so this month I have tried to capture the essence of the season with an eclectic mix which represents the clean, fresh feeling thatthis time of year brings.

My thoughts invariably also wander to that perennial chore of spring-cleaning, but one essential task that really does give me satisfaction is when I make the time to sort out my overflowing work box. After discarding hardened lumps of paste in clingfilm or small plastic bags and half completed practice pieces, cleaning up my colours, tidying up my tools and sorting out all those “things you collect that could be useful” (yes, we’ve all been there!) I feel very virtuous, and I am then ready to face my latest sugarcraft challenges with increased vigour.

Of course you do need to be bold when cleaning out favourite items which have served you so well for years, but this allows space for new things, and the same is true with . In our pages this month I am therefore delighted to welcome Lissette Slothouber from Holland and acclaimed airbrush expert Lisa Munro to my team to join the rest of your spruced up favourites.

So dust off your equipment and spring into action with a whole host of exciting new ideas for you to try.
