I’ve always tried to offer helpful ‘advice’ while my family and friends cook, but as I read Christina’s article with a growing sense of horror, I realised I’m a certified kitchen-botherer! I’d never considered how it must feel to be second-guessed and bossed about while you’re trying to make a nice meal. So I’ve vowed to turn over a new leaf, and to back off and let someone else take the reins from now on. Thanks for opening my eyes to this so I can work on it (after I’ve told my husband not to put the stock in before the rice when making risotto).
