Dollhouse Miniatures Magazine Issue 90 Back Issue

This year I made a big move out of the house where I grew up. I moved out many years ago but after only a year needed to move back in to help my dad after he broke both legs in a car accident. But this move is for keeps and I am selling my family home.
I created many wonderful works of art in that house and although it has happy memories, I just couldn’t physically keep it to its full potential anymore. It’s so much easier to upkeep or even build a 1:12 scale house! I know my dad is okay with my decision. He left that home to me when he passed away to be sure I had a safe place.
I managed to get all of my miniatures to the new place with only minimal damage. I sold a few to downsize, but preferred to get rid of more furniture than more dollhouses!
Our dollhouses become part of our family and each is filled with hours of work and lots of memories. I look forward to creating future pieces in my new studio. This issue of DHM definitely inspired me to keep adding to my dollhouses so their story is told.
