Throw open the curtains as soon as you wake up, walk part of your morning commute, and get out of the office at lunchtime. Why? It seems that how much sunlight we get is absolutely key to our moods. Rain, wind or even heat waves don’t make much difference to our spirits, but new US research has found that the amount of time between sunrise and sunset absolutely does. Getting enough light at this time of year can be tough, so consider getting a SAD lamp for an extra boost – and make a point of grabbing as much as you can.
