This month’s set of new releases announced by Ukrainian model giant MiniArt is a little less hectic than recent ones, but still has a few gems. In 1/24 scale there is a beautiful kit of the Lanz Bulldog tractor. This has proved to be one of the most popular of MiniArt’s 1/35 kits in the last few years and for modellers wanting to really go to town on the painting and weathering opportunities this vehicle affords we now have it in the larger scale. German Traffic Tractor D8532 Mod. 1950 (ref. 24007) looks a wonderful kit of this commonly used tractor in its post-war civilian guise. The kit contains thirteen grey plastic sprues and a clear one, and despite its size, should prove a straightforward and uncomplicated build. The main 1/35-scale kit release is another civilian version of the Mercedes Benz Typ 170V. The Liefer Pritschenwagen Typ 170V Furniture Transport Car (ref. 38065) allows you to build three furniture removal vans from Germany and Switzerland in the immediate post-war period. The versatility of kits like is limited only by the modeller’s imagination and they can be built as a colourful standalone civilian vehicle or as an addition to a larger diorama. A new figure set release also has a German theme, albeit a far more relaxed and peaceful aspect.
