of UK homeowners are heating their homes with air or ground source heat pumps – according to a recent survey by Mitsubishi Electric and Opinion Matters – a figure that is amongst the lowest in Europe. A further 33% would consider switching to a heat pump if electricity costs were the same as or less than gas; while 15% said they would only make the change if their annual energy bill would be £500 cheaper – furthering calls for utility prices to be re-balanced.
