NED’S ATOMIC DUSTBIN
NED’S ACOUSTIC DUSTBIN
GOOD DEEDS MUSIC
Persuaded by fellow Midlands grebo Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff to swap their twin bass and drums assault for unfamiliar acoustic guitars, the freshly designated, non-atomic trio end up sounding strangely like The Levellers on these new versions of old tracks. Singer Jonn Penney’s melodic limitations seem more obvious, with 1991’s Top 20 hit Happy struggling to bed in, but Grey Cell Green nevertheless exhibits a relentless energy, while, despite its time changes, Song 11 Could Take Forever’s intensity is unquestionable.
