I RISE Back in style and heavy on the attitude with another preview from the forthcoming Medellin album. The verses are cleverly stripped back and subtle effects don’t taint the sense of the song. Madonna’s voice holds up well, despite some unnecessary sci-fiat the end.

CRAVE A folky, bilingual, rather perky, handclap-filled dance track; a stylistic contrast to Madonna’s other release here. Again the vocal effects are just on the right side of cautious. She ups the earnestness level on the chorus and charitably gives the ending to Swae Lee’s guest turn.
