A love letter to frontman Joe Mount’s childhood home in Devon, Metronomy’s third album was a beguiling mix of doof and dreaminess that was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The collective have honed their dancefloor intensity and wigged-out psych sides since, but have never bettered The English Riviera as an overview of Mount’s kaleidoscopic world, complete with fiendishly addictive hit single The Look.
