THE BANGLES
SWEETHEART OF THE SUN
REAL GONE
If it’s frustrating The Bangles have largely ignored the UK since reforming in 1998, it’s doubly maddening that there’s been no new album since this 2011 gem. Susanna Hoffs and the Peterson sisters’ paean to the 60s Laurel Canyon folk scene inevitably maximises the harmonies, which have rarely been better than on I’ll Never Be Through With You.
