Hot dog, now we’re talking: spectacularly fuzzy Finns blasting through a big, heaving pile of hooky, highcontact action rockers. The guitars are ruthlessly heroic, the vocals are both charismatic and snotty, the band’s sense of timing is impeccable, and they seem to have an innate knack for coming up with a catchy melody. I mean, you can’t really ask for more. Highlights surely include Bombadero, which is both slinky and rabble-rousing and probably tears the roof off whenever they play it, the wild-eyed speed-punk mania of RetaliationSong, and the scream-along power-rock of RidingTheTurmoil. Who StoleMyMojo and CelebrateTheDead offer slight concessions to poppier ears, but mostly this album is just full-throttle badassery through and through.
