Michael Monroe
London Electric Ballroom
Unfinished business settled and then some.
★ Forty years ago Hanoi Rocks delivered their Bob Ezrin-produced Two Steps From The Move LP, a ragged-arsed, intoxicant-laced, post-Faces/Mott/Alice glam classic. If they’d toured it as intended, they’d have bestrode the 80s like pissed-up, leather-kecked, superfluous-scarfed, cosmetic-caked colossus and there’d have been no need for GN’R. But high-kicking fawn-in-headlights vocalist Michael Monroe injured himself on stage, and while waiting for him to heal, drummer Razzle went for a drive with a tipsy Vince Neil and died.
