MICROSOFT TESTS FREE OFFICE WITH ADVERTS
Microsoft is testing a free version of Office that shows adverts when you use Word, PowerPoint and Excel (pictured). It contains basic versions of these tools, and saves to OneDrive only, not your computer. Microsoft confirmed the test but said it has no plans to release it fully. It recently increased the cost of Microsoft 365 subscriptions by 42 per cent (see page 60).
