TABLET | £499 from Oppo www.snipca.com/53892
Upsets the Apple cart
The Pad 3 Pro from Chinese manufacturer Oppo is a slim, premium Android tablet with a spacious 12.1in screen at a price that puts it in direct competition with our current favourite Android tablet – the Honor MagicPad2 (£499 fromwww. snipca.com/53150, reviewed in Issue 700). Picking between the two is tough, but we’ll drill down into the differences and give you our verdict.
It offers a large, colourful screen with a customisable interface in a classy design
For the sake of comparison, it’s worth remembering that a similarly specified iPad – such as the smaller 11in iPad Air –would cost £100 more, with the larger 13in model coming in at £799. So by choosing Android you’re certainly getting more screen for your money. Apple still leads the way with its iPadOS operating system, which remains a superior interface and is better supported by app developers.
