Can a retailer resell returned goods as ‘new’?
Q I seem to have the same problem as John Barker (Issue 706), who thought Currys had sold him a
second-hand Lenovo laptop as new. I bought a Lenovo laptop from Argos on 11 March, but when I registered it Lenovo told me the 12-month warranty would expire in five months. I’ve often wondered what happens to goods that are returned to retailers. Can they be resold as ‘new’?
