Can I revert to classic Outlook without a Microsoft 365 account?

I’d love to be able to get back to the old ‘classic’ Outlook, as you explained in Issue 706 (page 6). However, I followed your instructions and completed the download (from
www.snipca.com/54211
), but the only way it can be used is by also installing Microsoft 365 and having a 365 account. I don’t want to subscribe to 365, so is there another way to revert to the classic version?

A The link we printed in Issue 706 takes you to a Microsoft support page for ‘Outlook for Windows (Classic)’, where you can either click the Download button and run the installer, or opt to ‘Install from Store’, which takes you to the Microsoft Store page for the Windows app version of the program.
