‘Have I been pawned?’s nasty typosquatting
What difference can a mistyped ‘a’ make? Quite a lot actually, as reader Mel Taylor recently found out. He thought he’d typed https:// haveibeenpwned.com – the invaluable database of stolen email addresses and passwords run by security guru Troy Hunt. But he accidentally added an ‘a’ to make it pawned, and ended up somewhere far less helpful.
