Rivers snake their way through the landscape in a way that can only truly be appreciated from the air, making them perfect subjects for drone photography. Your assignment is to shoot a landscape image in which a river provides a curvaceous focal point. You may be able to use local knowledge to find good locations close to home or satellite imagery to find places where a river makes interesting shapes. Once you arrive at your location, it may help to get the drone up high to scout the areas that show the most promise. For your final composition, think about emphasising any interesting features of the river, such as meandering curves or feeder channels.
