Hopefully it doesn’t result in a ton of procedurally generated places without very much to do there
After all that, it’s just a game. Having been announced as little more than a logo in 2018, and resurfacing last year with, essentially, a CG sizzle reel, the sense of deflation that followed Starfield’s big reveal was perhaps inevitable. This is, as Phil Spencer billed it in his intro, “one of the most anticipated games in Xbox history”, and as the years have passed it’s been enough of an unknown quantity for people to fill it up with their own expectations and hopes.
