A HOME TREADMILL?
Mobvoi is a wearable tech brand and, while you can’t actually wear their amazingly affordable home treadmill, you can certainly fold it up and put it out of the way – good news for those of us who don’t have space for a home gym. Its compact size and built-in wheels mean it’s easy to stash away under a bed, say, when you’re not using it. Plus, with a sub-£500 price tag, this treadmill is much more affordable than its rivals, too.
Relatively easy to set up, the treadmill features two modes for walking and running, with max speeds of 4km/h (2.5mph) and 12km/h (7.5mph) respectively. So, for super-fit athletes wanting to do a HIIT running session, it might not be quite fast enough, but for the rest of us, it works just fine – as does the LCD screen, which gives you live updates of time, speed, distance and calories burned.
The machine comes with a handy remote control to change the belt speed or stop it altogether. There’s also a phone holder and a built-in Bluetooth speaker and, while it may not be a Bang & Olufsen (see review opposite), it will certainly do the job of keeping you entertained during your workout, whether you’re the music or podcast type.
In short, even though we’re post-lockdowns, this makes a great addition to any fitness fan’s home.
