When was the last time you thought about your ear health? You probably get your eyes tested regularly but our ears often take a back seat. In fact, recent research found that just one in 10 people intend to get a hearing test in the next 12 months. It’s partly down to the stigma attached to hearing loss – it can be the subject of jokes and is associated with getting older. We also know that people are unlikely to disclose hearing loss to an employer due to concerns about preconceived ideas about how well they’ll be able to do their job.
