
Roland Hardy: the two-time Olympic race walker (above left), has died, aged 89
ROLAND HARDY, the double Olympic British race walker, has died.
Hardy, who was 89, competed in the 10km walk at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki where he was disqualified in his heat, and at the following Games in Melbourne in 1956 when the 20km was introduced, where he came eighth.
