London’s Royal Albert Hall has witnessed its fair share of orchestral manoeuvres over the years, but the only symphonic sounds on display when OMD took to the stage for two nights in March were of the strictly pre-programmed variety.
Marking 40 (Covid-adjusted) years since Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys’ eponymous Lake debut album, the shows were divided into two sets, with a selection of atmospheric deep cuts culled mostly from their early experimental phase, followed by a crowd-pleasing hits party.
