Walking off stress
Thank you for covering stress in Ways To Stress Less (May). As the article mentioned, you don’t have to be conscious of the condition for it to affect your health negatively. My daughter suffers from gastrointestinal issues due to anxiety, even if she is only mildly aware of how she is feeling. You suggest keeping active and this is a life saver. If my daughter starts to feel unwell, the first thing she does is go for a walk – sometimes that’s enough to ward off a stomach issue. I can also become stressed (especially when I hear my daughter has been ill), so I make sure to take time out for myself – take a walk, drink chamomile tea – while staying off the computer and phone. I also limit sugar and alcohol.
