Going green’ is something of a buzzphrase these days… and so it should be! Each of us has an impact on our planet and by making more environmentally friendly choices, we can all have a more positive effect on the world around us, on both a local and global scale. It’s not just about the environment, though (although this is at its heart) – living a greener, cleaner lifestyle is better for your health and happiness, and for humanity in general. After all, opting for ethical, Fairtrade products, for example, is better for everyone.
As runners, we can all feel confident our exercise of choice is pretty much as green as it gets – after all, you don’t need lots of kit or equipment and you can run from your front door, meaning no transport emissions.
