Strava is like Facebook for runners. Apart from being able to share endless pictures of cake, does the app help improve your running performance?

There are many benefits to being on the Strava app, if you’re looking to improve your running fitness. Strava feels like a fitness family, always there to support you, as well as motivate you when you’ve lost your mojo, or have been injured. As a coach, I can see how beneficial it is to the runners I train to receive the coveted ‘kudos’ for runs, races and training. It can be hugely motivating when it comes to getting out the door on cold, wet and dark evenings during the winter, to know that you’ll be getting that boost afterwards.
