HULL KINGSTON ROVERS to reach the Grand Final? Never say never! The Robins came up with their first win over world champions St Helens since 2015 in some style to move up to third place in the Super League table.
Despite St Helens taking an early 6-0 lead the home side went on to dominate this game and make it four wins in a row, backing up last weekend’s hammering of cross-city rivals Hull FC.
Coach Wille Peters was pleased with the win, although not necessarily with his side’s first-half performance. But he couldn’t deny his side came up with the goods in the second half.
Lachlan Coote led from the front against his former side, yet it certainly wasn’t a one man show because, as a group, Rovers were excellent across the park.
Peters said: “During that first half I was a little worried as we were off a little in areas in which we pride ourselves.
