Low-Profile ICE Tower
Les Pounder’s Raspberry Pi runs cool. In contrast, Les always feels the heat. Could this new cooler make even our expert chill out this summer?
IN BRIEF
A low-profile, no-nonsense cooler that eschews the RGB aesthetic for straight-up great cooling. The 40mm fan and unusual heatsink arrangement work in our favour and the Raspberry Pi 4 is kept cool, even when overclocked. GPIO access is a stretch, but can be achieved with clever workarounds.
Looking more at home on a muscle car than a Raspberry Pi, 52Pi’s latest over-the-top cooler does away with the flashy RGB fan, and gives us a more subtle cooling boost. The Type B Low-Profile ICE Tower Raspberry Pi 4 Cooler (catchy name – Ed) looks like an air intake strapped to the SoC of the Raspberry Pi 4.
