Arlo’s Essential range of security cameras is designed to provide a more affordable option for people who don’t need advanced features, such as 4K video. Or, in the case of its new Pan-Tilt cameras, support for HomeKit and the Apple Home app. That’s not necessarily a dealbreaker, as Apple users can control the Pan-Tilt camera using the standard Arlo app for mobile devices. What is disappointing, though, is that the UK price of the Pan-Tilt camera isn’t actually very ‘affordable’, costing £129.99 compared to $59.99 in the US. We did contact Arlo on this point, but while the company confirmed the UK pricing they did not clarify the reason for that large price difference.
