Google has got AirDrop working with Android phones, but it doesn’t look like Apple was involved.
AirDrop is a good example of how Apple’s ecosystem “just works” across its devices. Yet that selling point might have lost some of its shimmer, as Google has managed to get AirDrop to work with Android phones, seemingly without Apple’s help – and possibly even without its knowledge.
