Corsair 5000D Airflow
Gratuitous flexibility made manifest
When will we get ITX cases Corsair? When?
A FEW ISSUES BACK we took a look at Corsair’s latest chassis innovations in the form of its 4000D Airflow case. Announced in Q3 2020, the 4000 series represented a paradigm shift for the company, away from its old naming schemes and design decisions toward this new, reinvigorated format. For those that don’t know, the first number in the chassis designation indicates the size of the chassis, and then the D, D Airflow, or X moniker identifies what design aims it’s trying to achieve, and of course at what price. You have the standard D, designed with silent, slick, optimized budget-running in mind; the D Airflow, which is similar to the former but better optimized for airflow; and the X, which is an all-singing and dancing RGB tempered-glass affair, for those with a premium budget.
