METAL AND BALLET aren’t usual bedfellows, but Black Sabbath – The Ballet is all about changing that perception. Created by Birmingham Royal Ballet director Carlos Acosta, with the support of Black Sabbath, the production made its debut at Birmingham Hippodrome on September 23. It attracted famous guests including Robert Plant and Sharon Osbourne – as well as Sabbath’s own Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi, with the latter appearing onstage to play Paranoid.
