NEW TOOLING: MXA ‘LOBSTER’
An all‐new wagon tooling is always welcome and Bachmann has announced a ‘OO’ rendition of the DB MXA ‘Lobster’ ballast carriers, which currently operate across much of the UK network. Converted by DB Cargo in the mid-2010s, these wagons feature new steel box bodies atop refurbished chassis frames and bogies from redundant BDA/BEA bogie plate wagons. Two models are offered, both in the striking DB Cargo red livery, but with different running numbers.
