Welcome
As I write this, on the last day of January, the rain is battering against the windows on another blustery day in north-east England. At least my workshop is toasty warm and I can console myself with some of the many practical projects I have on the go.
I must start this issue with thanks and apologies. A special thank you to Andrew Boyd of Gettysburg PA, who surprised me with a pair of brass kits for Wisbech & Upwell Tramway coaches. Funnily enough, I’d recently been lamenting the fact that I haven’t built any brass kits for a couple of years, so these will provide an enjoyable future project. Further thanks are due to all the readers who have voted in our Model of the Year 2022 poll, which closes on the day that this issue hits the news stand. We’re very grateful when readers take the time to get involved with MOTY, and the key players in the industry always keep a keen eye on the results, which we’ll announce in next month’s issue.
