I AM writing this column from a lovely house in starry Shawbost away out on the west side of Lewis.
On Monday morning, I headed into Stornoway for a week at the Royal National Mòd – beginning with two competitions with my wee choir, the Glasgow Islay Juniors.
By the time this paper goes to print, our competition will be over and, whether we win or lose, I think I can safely say the kids will have had a great time in Stornoway and will have done themselves proud in the process – as I’m sure is the case for so many other junior competitors throughout the week.
