Cash boost for youth summer activities outdoors

MISTY ISLE Youth Forum on Skye will receive funding from the Future Routes Fund to deliver several environmental activities on the island during the summer holidays.

The Misty Isle Youth Forum, a group of 12-17-year-olds living on Skye, was one of 11 applicants chosen from across Scotland to develop a project that will encourage young people’s interest in nature during the Year of Young People.

The group will use the funding to offer free arts and crafts programmes for young people this summer using items found on beach cleans.
