MORE than 150 pupils from Lochaber primary schools got an insight into clinical skills in simulated ward sessions run by fourth year medical students from the Dundee University clerkship based within NHS Highland.
The clerkship is a new type of course where students spend a year based in a GP practice in the Highlands. As part of their course, they are raising awareness about careers in healthcare among Highland primary school pupils.
A successful workshop was held at the end of last year in Inverness with Raigmore Primary School and last month every Lochaber primary six pupil was invited to take part in an event in Caol Community Centre.
