Notes from Spean Bridge, Roy Bridge and Achnacarry meeting

THE MARCH meeting of Spean Bridge, Roy Bridge and Achncarry Community Council was held at Kilmonivaig Church hall last week.

Items discussed were:

Monthly police report from Sgt Deborah McCartney, who reported a number of speeding and road traffic matters since her last report.

She provided information on the Rural Watch scheme which is similar to the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme. Interested parties can sign up as individuals or a local group can be created. Poster materials are available.

Next was a briefing by David Bell of Fouin & Bell Architects on the development north-west of Mehalah, Tirindrish, Spean Bridge.
