I’ve written enough reviews to know that mundane-sounding products can occasionally be surprisingly great – but I never expected that one of them would be a headset.
Then again, the Evolve3 75 is no ordinary heaadset: this is a premium, on-ear, conferencing headset, intended for professional use. It comes in two variants – a standard version and one certified for Microsoft Teams. They’re almost identical, but the latter model includes a dedicated button that can be used to instantly open up Teams and join an ongoing call. That’s handy for Microsoft users, but sadly of no use to anyone else as it’s not reprogrammable.
What both models have in common is a busy light that glows red when you’re on a call, telling anyone nearby that you’re not to be disturbed – a simple but brilliant feature. There’s also support for Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, allowing you to pair the headset with two devices at once. In fact, with the supplied USB-Cdongle you can switch between three devices, which is a boon for home workers who want to hop between meetings on their laptop and personal calls and audio on their own devices.
