NOT CONTENT WITH assaulting the senses with Krokofant, Norwegian guitarist Tom Hasslan has found another way to explore the outer reaches of rock. As showcased on their self-titled debut album, Soft Ffog are a more hazy and free-flowing, jazz-rock beast, with a penchant for freewheeling solos and furious ensemble syncopation. Originally commissioned in 2016, as a one-off project for the globally renowned Kongsberg Jazzfestival, the instrumental quartet have only recently evolved into a real, working band, as Hasslan explains.
