DEVELOPER Q&A
PAUL RANSON CODED UP THE SPECTRUM VERSION
» [Arcade] “Hey guys, we really love what you’ve done with the place since our last infiltration.”
How did you become involved in this project?
I was the project manager and mentor for most of the versions of Double Dragon at Binary Design. After that I decided I would like to return to programming, so I did a deal to go freelance and Double Dragon II became the very first project for Big Red Software. I worked with my brother Peter, who was still at college at the time, and he did the graphics for me. I was a very passionate coder and was fascinated with making the game run as quickly and as accurately as possible.
