Ihave no idea how I got my first PS2.What I do remember is that it was a Japanese machine. Why did I have an import machine? I’m afraid at the time I was being a very naughty boy and I can’t recall much of what was going on back then. I was on the telly and quite possibly at the peak of my D list ‘fame’ so there is a strong chance I was gifted it. What I wasn’t gifted was a power converter. Being an idiot, I didn’t realise I needed one. So I plugged it in using a standard plug adaptor and you’ll never guess what happened. It blew up! Crazy, right? I was gutted but had to accept it was entirely my fault.
