While Spidey’s PS1 games were far from slouches, the power of the PS2 really unshackled the true capabilities of everyone’s favourite web-swinger. Cockily narrated by Bruce Campbell, Treyarch’s game offers an enjoyable storyline, greatly refined web-swinging and some solid combat mechanics. It remains the best movie licence on the console and is easily the system’s best open-world game experience outside of the GTA games in terms of the breadth of choice and opportunities that it offers the player.
