Ihate getting older but, hey, it happens. And when your job is sitting on your backside, looking at a computer, it’s hard to stay in shape. I play tennis, lift weights, go on long walks with my partner, Staci [Gruber]. We’ve been married for almost 20 years. We both enjoy getting away out into the wild country. I did have problems with my mood in the past and being outside has always helped. This is going to sound like a cliché, but it really is the simplest things in life – like taking a walk on the beach near our home in Massachusetts – that mean the most. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy going crazy every once in a while. I’ve learned to fly helicopters, I ride motorcycles, I scuba dive in the Bermuda Triangle. Doesn’t matter how old you are [Patricia is 68 on 9 June], if you’re frightened of something, you’ve got to conquer that fear!
