No Such TI,ing As A Fish
Take four clever clogs, add some fascinating facts and lace with a healthy dose of hilarity. That's the recipe for the engaging podcast No
Such Thing AsA Fish. The presenters are four researchers, known as the 'QI Elves', from the long-running BBC quiz show QI.
In a single episode, each host introduces a fact they've discovered that week. These run the gamut from hardcore science to Hollywood trivia. In a recent edition we learned that actor Barry Fitzgerald is the only person ever to be nominated for two Oscars for the same role in the same film. He received nominations for both best supporting actor and best actor for his part in Going My Way in 1944. This factoid leads onto all manner of fascinating and funny Oscar-based discussions in which we discover that actor Rosamund Pike buries her awards in the garden and Emma Thompson is the only person to have won Oscars for both writing and acting. Terrifically fun and informative.
Succession (SKY ATLANTIC/ NOW) Brian Cox is back as media mogul Logan Roy, whose children Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Connor (Alan Ruck) all struggle for power while also fighting their own demons. Season four starts on 27 March.
